High voltage switchgear is one of the crucial and commonly used equipment in power control systems, playing a crucial role in maintaining the safe operation of the system. High voltage switchgear generally operates in environments with high current and voltage, and is prone to high temperatures, which can damage the system and instruments. Therefore, real-time monitoring of temperature changes at important nodes of the switchgear is necessary. In the process of power transmission and distribution, the safety performance of equipment is crucial. In certain areas with excessive load, it is urgent to protect the power equipment. The switchgear components generate heat due to high voltage and current, which can cause damage to the components and cause serious consequences. However, if the heating condition of the components can be detected and repaired in a timely manner, the probability of such accidents can be minimized as much as possible.

1. The speed of updating the device is not fast enough

Many devices suffer from prominent issues such as component deformation, aging, and prolonged use. Although the domestic power grid has effectively promoted the use of new equipment, materials, and processes, accelerating the deepening of power grid reform, many outdated and outdated switchgear equipment have always been operating at the forefront of their positions. Although this phenomenon appears to reduce operating costs on the surface, it is difficult to ensure the operation of the power grid, and the probability of various faults and accidents significantly increases. The conductor materials left inside such outdated and old equipment are lacking in purity, and due to the influence of this material, the conductivity is lower than the standard. Although there are no abnormalities in the working conditions of the circuit breaker, the flow will release a certain amount of high heat, and the temperature of the switchgear will continue to increase.

2. There is an issue with the installation process.

The personnel responsible for equipment installation should master the corresponding skills and strictly implement the relevant standards for switchgear installation. Problems with the installation process may increase the potential safety risks associated with the use of switchgear. For example, the fixed plug and switch socket are located at a certain distance from the designated position in the design draft, which can easily lead to the fixed plug not being fully connected to the switch socket, and "virtual connection" can easily cause heating [4]. Therefore, it is necessary to appoint professional personnel to supervise the entire process of cabinet opening and installation. After the installation is completed, equipment acceptance should be strictly controlled to avoid potential heating hazards. In addition to the above content, the busbar

During processing and connection, it should be ensured that the surface is smooth and free of protrusions to avoid errors such as the use of electric grease by humans.

3. The tightening pressure of the bolts at the connection position is unreasonable.

In terms of conductor connections, some maintenance and installation personnel suggest that tightening the bolts will have a better effect, but in reality, this is not the case. As is well known, the elastic coefficient of aluminum busbar is relatively small, and the nut pressure is maintained

Continuously increasing until the critical value, if the strength of the busbar is poor, during the continuous pressurization process, it will cause the contact surface to deform and shrink, resulting in an increase in contact resistance and further affecting the effectiveness of conductor contact.

4. The performance of personnel responsibilities during equipment testing and maintenance is poor.

Personnel involved in switchgear testing and maintenance should have a high sense of responsibility and conscientiously fulfill their own responsibilities. Generally speaking, during the testing and maintenance of switchgear, relevant personnel need to remove certain connection points inside the equipment and then reconnect them, providing important information for the testing and maintenance work. After completing the above work, connect the equipment according to the original style. However, some experimental and maintenance workers lack a high sense of responsibility, do not have a proper personal attitude towards work, and often overlook details. For example, there are a total of four joints used to tighten bolts, and some workers often reinstall three of them after work is completed, or even only install one of them. For example, if the bolt tightening effect is poor and the actual contact surface pressure is not enough, if the circuit does not generate a strong load, generally it will not trigger related problems. If the circuit experiences strong boosting in a short period of time, it is highly likely to cause severe heating of the joints, among which the heating of the transformer connection point is the most severe.
